This is a stunning solid oak hand carved fire guard or fire screen from the early arts and crafts era. Made in the mid 19th century and depicts a galleon at sea. Standing at 73cm this is a large piece and measures 51cm wide, making this perfect for the larger fireplace. Also this is in great condition considering it is not far from 200 years old and still solid, which just goes to show the quality from all those years ago.
